(Recipe) Steamed Pork and Cabbage


This is a super simple but tasty griddle recipe that maximizes the flavor of cabbage and pork. It is so easy you might even be able to ask your children to prepare and cook it.


Ingredients (3-4 servings):

1/2 cabbage

14 oz./400 g of thin sliced pork

a pinch of salt and pepper

Your favorite sauce (ponzu, yakiniku Japanese barbecue sauce etc.)


Directions:

1. Cut or tear the cabbage into small pieces.


2. Spread the cabbage on the griddle.


3. Place the pork on top of the cabbage, sprinkle with salt and pepper, turn on the heat of the griddle to middle heat and cover with a lid.


4. When the cabbage is softened and the pork is cooked through and changes color, the dish is done.


5. Serve with your favorite sauce as desired.


Tips:

  • You can choose the part of the meat as you like, but use thin slices if you can.

  • You can put some kimchi instead of cabbage (pork on the bottom, kimchi on top) to make it spicy.
