(Recipe) Nikujaga Stew in Rice Cooker

Nikujaga is a Japanese comfort food that people usually eat at home. In fact, it can be easily prepared by simply popping the ingredients into a rice cooker and cook. The rice cooker makes the meat tender and delicious.

Ingredients (4 servings):

1 carrot

1 onion

3 potatoes

7 oz./200 g of sliced beef or pork

1 bag of shirataki (drained)

5 tbsp of sugar

5 tbsp of cooking sake

7 tbsp of soy sauce

3.4 fl. oz./100 ml of water

1. Cut the meat and vegetables into a bite size. The potatoes get smaller, so they should be a bit bigger.

2. Put all ingredients and seasonings into the rice cooker. When cooked, separate the chunk, as they get stuck together.

Tip:

After opening the lid, let it sit for a while to let the flavors soak in and become tasty.
