Easter Related Items Maido Offers

Easter is the most important day in Christianity to celebrate the resurrection of Jesus Christ, who died on the cross and rose again three days later. Easter is also a day to celebrate the resurrection of nature in spring.

The English word Easter comes from the Germanic goddess of spring, Estera. Easter is a celebration of the resurrection of life, and symbols such as the egg and the bunny, which has many children, are used to symbolize this.

Easter is not a fixed date every year. Easter is the first Sunday counting from the full moon following the vernal equinox of that year. It is believed that Christ's resurrection was on a Sunday. It falls on 3/31 this year.

This special version of the Pocky box is now available in limited quantities. It contains three each of the classic Pocky flavors: original, strawberry, and cookies & cream. Do you know what Pancake Day is? Pancake Day, also known as Shrove Tuesday, is celebrated 47 days (or 40 days before excluding Sunday) before the Christian festival of Easter Sunday before the start of Lent on Ash Wednesday in countries such as the U.K. and Ireland. The day of commemoration began when pancakes were made to consume milk, eggs, and sugar in preparation for the 46-day fast (or 39 days including Sunday) before Easter. Nowadays, it is a period during which people eat only simple meals and no meat, dairy products, or eggs. Easter is celebrated on the day Christ rose from the dead, and the date changes each year. It also changes between Western and Eastern churches and denominations, but in general, this year February 13th was the Pancake Day.

Hotcake mix, the Japanese version of pancake mix, is not the only pancake-related product we sell at Maido. We also offer this cute Sanrio characters pancake meal origami set. With the origami paper in this set, you can create a gorgeous meal of Cinnamoroll pancakes, Pompompurin custard pudding, Little Twin Stars tomato soup cup, Hello Kitty onion rings, Pochacco potato salad, Kuromi black sesame ice cream, and My Melody knife and fork.
