Summer is in full swing, and you know that that means-- summer veggies are back in stock in our produce section! We source as much of our produce as possible from the local, Japanese-owned Suzuki Farm in Delaware, which means we get to bring you the freshest organic Japanese vegetables in the area. For summer, we have crisp kyuri cucumbers, plump nasu eggplants, Japanese peaman green peppers, sometimes-sweet-sometimes-spicy shishito peppers, and toe-curling bitter goya melons to choose from! Many of these are only available for the season, so make sure to get yours while they’re around! For optimal selection, it is advised to purchase vegetables on, or within 24 hours of their delivery day. Currently the delivery day is every Thursday in the afternoon, although this may be subject to change. Feel free to call the store during business hours to confirm vegetable availability, and be sure to stock up on your next visit to Maido for authentic Japanese food, groceries, and other essentials!
