The inclusion of yeast not only ups the umami flavor, but it keeps the green color looking bright and fresh. To further enhance the flavor, Iemon tea is made using ishitsuki tea leaves-- leaves that are ground to a fine powdery consistency and help create a smoother, richer flavor in the tea. It is totally natural for some of the ishitsuki tea powder to settle to the bottom of the bottle, so make sure to shake well upon opening for the richest flavor and most fragrance in every sip.
